Product Introduction
Steam drum is a cylindrical pressure vessel used in water-pipe boiler for steam separation and steam purification, forming a water circulation loop and storing pot water. Its main function is to receive water from economizer, separate steam from water and supply water to circulation loop, and transport saturated steam to superheater. There is a certain amount of water in the drum, which has a certain amount of heat and material savings. When the working conditions change, the speed of vapor pressure change can be slowed down. When the water supply and load are not coordinated for a short time, it plays a buffer role. The drum is equipped with internal devices for steam-water separation, steam cleaning, medication in the pot and continuous sewage discharge to ensure steam quality, as shown in the figure.
Steam drum is the most bulky and expensive thick-wall pressure-bearing component in boiler. The drum not only withstands high internal pressure, but also produces thermal stress due to the fluctuation of wall temperature due to the change of operating conditions. Therefore, the working conditions are bad, and effective operation condition supervision is needed.
Working Principle
- Steam drum is the connecting hub of three processes of heating, evaporation and overheating in the boiler. There is a certain amount of water in the drum, so it has a certain heat storage capacity.
- When the working conditions change, the speed of steam pressure change can be slowed down, which is beneficial to operation regulation, and thus the safety of operation can be improved. The water heated by water wall is separated by cyclone separator in the drum, and the steam kinetic energy is reduced. The separated steam is separated again through the upper shutter separator. Finally, the water and salt are removed through the corrugated plate before entering the superheater.
- Evaporation mostly occurs at the gas-liquid interface, so the surface contains the most salt, and there are joint rows to prevent the drum from filling up with water, so there are accident drainage pipes inside. When the water level exceeds the limit, the excess water can be automatically opened and released, but it is not at the lowest point, because it is afraid of drying pot, so it is generally installed at the normal water level.
